Desiree is an EMDR-trained, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida as well as a Nationally Board Certified Counselor. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida. With over 19 years of experience in the field of mental health, Desiree has teaching and research experience in which she has published and presented on her research findings. Before joining Pasadena Villa in 2013, Desiree worked in a variety of mental health settings including the foster care system, Partial Hospitalization Programs and private practice with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and the geriatric population. She has also worked with military personnel and their families as a Military and Family Life Counselor. While at Pasadena Villa, Desiree has held various positions. She is also a member of the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association, Association of Play Therapy, Central Florida Chapter and the University of Central Florida Alumni Association.
